These paintings concern capturing moments that hint at an internal monologue, dissociation, or overwhelming emotion concealed behind a façade. This artwork plays on enigma to incite an inherently personal reading, playing on our human nature to feel empathy. In these works I have played on the use of colour and scale to allow for detail and intimacy that ultimately perplexes the viewer.
