This body of work explores the challenges, process and emotional strain of becoming older. These artworks are a personal reflection, however aim to explore feelings that are common to the vast majority. A distressed image is created through the imperfections of the image transfer technique used and the thread that appears to hold the image together. The areas missing from the photographs portray how memories are distorted by time and become less clear. Old photographs are used alongside the present figure to highlight the amount of change that has occurred and allude to past memories.
